Our Processes
Our process from start to finish is very simple, we start with the chosen stone and pattern that best suits your requirement.
We then create detailed designs or a template for the project, whether it’s a countertop, splashback, bathroom vanity, sculpture, or any other application. Our team plans the cuts and shapes needed to optimise the use of the stone while minimising waste. Various tools and techniques are used to cut the stone into your desired shape and size.
Traditional methods include sawing, chiseling and carving, while modern techniques may involve CNC (computer numerical control) machines for precision cutting. The cut pieces undergo various finishing processes to achieve the desired texture and appearances. This may involve polishing, grinding, honing (sharpening the edges of the stone) and sanding. Different finishes, such as polished, honed, flamed or brushed can be applied depending on the aesthetic and functional requirements.
Installation of the stone components are based on the projects specifications. This could involve setting, installing countertops, or constructing stone structures Proper installation techniques are crucial for the longevity and stability of the stone elements. To minimise as much waste from what is left over from the stone we can make small creative items.
Throughout the process, safety measures are crucial due to the heavy and often sharp nature of the stone materials. Additionally, skilled craftsmen and artisans play a significant role in achieving high-quality results, especially in projects that require intricate detailing or artistic elements.
